Where are you located? Do you travel?
Adeline Photo is based out of Central Florida but also serves parts of SW Florida. I am also available for travel nationwide.
Please contact me for more information. Travel fees may apply.
Will you help with styling or do you have advice on choosing outfits?
I love talking with clients to suggest clothing that will both complement them and photograph nicely. Styling plays a big role in the overall feel of your gallery and it's important to feel confident in what you choose to wear.
Do you photograph large groups or extended families?
The more the merrier! For large families, reunions, and groups, please use the form on the contact page to request a customized quote.
What "kind" of photographs do you take? What's a session like?
I love candid photos that show emotion! During a session, you can expect gentle direction and simple prompts that encourage natural movement and genuine connection. A session is more than just getting pretty pictures; it's about having fun together and being in the moment. But fear not! We'll make sure to get the "smiling" photos too.
Will you recommend locations?
If you don't already have a location in mind, we can absolutely discuss options. I'll want to talk with you first about the overall vision you have for your session. This may help us settle on the perfect place. If you haven't already noticed from my website, I enjoy photographing at Bok Tower Gardens, located in Lake Wales, FL. Not only is it in close proximity to my home, but I happily get up to four clients in at no charge with my membership.
Do you have a client wardrobe?
I carry a select number of maternity dresses that you are welcome to check out.
How long does it take to receive my final gallery?
For portraits, within three weeks.
For weddings and events, within six weeks. For births, within six weeks.
What if I'm "camera shy"?
If I had a nickel for every time a client told me they were "awkward in front of the camera", I could retire the both of us. Okay, that's a touch sarcastic, but you get the idea! I provide gentle direction and prompts to help you relax and are naturally flattering in the session :).
Are you available on holidays?
The only holiday that is unavailable is December 25th. It's my son's birthday and I savor every moment with him that day. Otherwise, please don't hesitate to inquire. Session prices may vary for holiday dates.
Do you require a deposit?
An initial non-refundable deposit is required upon booking to reserve a date and time on the calendar.
Please see the Pricing Page for basic pricing information, or email me at email@example.com for my full pricing and package guide
How do I book? What's the booking process like?
To book, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or use the form on the contact page to get in touch. We'll get you all set up and schedule a time to chat in person or over the phone about details.
Do you offer prints, cards, or albums?
When you receive your gallery, you'll also have an opportunity to order products through a high-quality print lab I've partnered with. Photographs are an investment and bring so much joy when they make it past a disk or USB and onto display! I love talking with clients to find the best way to display their favorite photographs!
Common questions about birth photography
How many birth clients do you accept?
I only accept a certain amount of birth each year. This is for a few reasons: 1) I like having the time and bandwidth to really invest in establishing a relationship with my birth clients. Being invited into someone's birth space is sacred and it's important for me to feel like a familiar person there. 2) Being on call around the clock can be very taxing on physical and mental health (I have so much respect for midwives, doulas, doctors, etc!). So limiting my availability during the year for births helps me manage that.
How long are you at a birth?
I've been at births for up to four hours and I've been at births for over 10 hours. This totally depends on the birth story! There have even been times when I've arrived, labor stalled, and I've returned the next day when it picked back up. One time, I drove three hours to stay in a hotel just to be close for a laboring momma. It was false labor and I returned home (in the middle of a tropical storm), only to be called again for the real deal two days later!
Typically, I cover active labor through immediate postpartum (two or so hours after the baby arrives and the newborn exam is complete).
When do you go on call for a birth?
I'm on call starting at 37 weeks and ask clients to keep me informed about any updates. If there is a change in the birth plan, we can discuss this together.
How much is birth photography?
Please send an email to email@example.com to inquire about pricing and availability.
How can I see micro galleries of birth stories?
Being invited into someone's birth space is sacred; I do not take it lightly and consider it an honor to attend any birth. In order to respect the privacy and wishes of the families I work with, I only share what they are comfortable with. I have private galleries with appropriate birth photographs in them for birth inquires. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
What kind of births do you photograph?
I've had the privilege of photographing a variety of births: homebirths, at birth centers, hospital deliveries, and cesarean births. Keep in mind that my ability to attend a birth may be dependent on the location of delivery. Hospitals, for example, have varying policies.
What if I'm planning a homebirth and have to transfer? Will you come with?
Absolutely, given the ability for me to do so and if this is what you desire.
Do you meet with your clients before the labor?
Yes! I prefer to meet if possible. This can be in person or over the phone/virtual. It's important to build a relationship beforehand so that you feel most comfortable before the "main event".
